Sitcom
2022, video projections, letters on the floor, impressions...
The Sitcom project surveys the city and suggests a few possible stories. Like a lone cowboy, a stranger wanders the streets, eyes on the lookout and ears perked up. He records images like an impassive, mechanical eye, or a discreet ‘google car’, and then looks for hidden narratives and secret reveries. The church is traditionally the centre of the village, the place where the community gathers, the place for silent masses and confidences. This is where the episodes of Sitcom will be shared.
Three video projections recreate this visual labyrinth.
The public will be able to listen to freely recorded stories inspired by the artist's wanderings through the city.
From time to time, a shake occurs, other images appear and, at the end of the cycle, a choir sings in unison.
